Bob Duplantier is a writer and editor with 30+ years’ experience in journalism, advertising, and publishing. Especially adept at getting himself terminated (three times and counting), he served until recently as the director of membership and technology services for the National Council of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, where he was responsible for all print and electronic publications, PR and advertising, event planning, and various membership services. He is married to longsuffering fellow board member Evann Tolhurst Duplantier and has six children.
Bart Niedner holds Architectural degrees from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (B-Arch) and Washington University in St. Louis (M-Arch1). He was Department Head of Architectural Technology at Ranken Technical College for ten years where he developed Ranken’s first four-year program. Bart also taught and served as the interim Director of Architectural Computing for Washington University in St. Louis. Bart’s architectural pursuits into the Internet delivery of 3D multi-user environments led him to pursue full-time Internet development with his company, Resource Forge LLC. Bart enjoys building things that require equal shares of art and technology to be truly successful – a quality shared by both architecture and Internet development. A happy husband and a proud parent to a daughter and three step-sons, Bart enjoys his family time as well as the occasional camping trip in the Missouri countryside.
Dr. Sebastian Mahfood is Associate Professor of Intercultural Studies at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary in St. Louis, MO. He lives in South St. Louis with his wife, Stephanie, and two children.
Evann Duplantier has over thirty years experience as a graphic designer and has served as art director for 2 large advertising agencies, in New Orleans and Boston. Her expertise includes logo development, ad campaigns, print collateral, in-house publications, and web design/maintenance. Now a homeschooling mother of six, she uses her graphic arts skills as a freelance web designer for a variety of clients.
Ida Duplantier has been doing graphic and web design since she was eleven years old. She currently works for Multi-Media Duplication and also runs her own home business, Herpisphere.com, breeding and selling reptiles.Eric Olsen currently serves as the production manager at Multi-Media Duplication, a CD and DVD manufacturing/authoring facility, located in Earth City MO, where he provides operation support for CD and DVD manufacturing systems as well as Broadcast/VHS Duplication equipment. Eric also oversees all of Multi-Media Duplication’s web based and CD based programming and DVD authoring by utilizing programs such as Dreamweaver, GoLive, Flash, DVD Studio Pro, Sonic and Final Cut Pro.
Eric has worked extensively with AVID Media Composer, Adobe Premier, Motion, Live Type, Globcaster, Photoshop and Illustrator. The experience and skills from working at Multi-Media have made Eric one of the few media professionals in the area to provide spec-level DVD authoring to his clients.
Formerly, Eric worked for the LCMS as a broadcast systems engineer and editor for the LCMS Satellite Service and the Board for Communication Services. He has a B.S. Degree in Broadcasting and Film from Central Missouri State University.
Mike Schottenhaml is an Information Technology Specialist with 12 years IT experience. He holds a technical degree in Computer Network Operations from Trident Technical College, Charleston, SC and has a BS Computer Science (Internet Management) Degree from Limestone College, Gafney, SC. Mike spent 20 years in the United States Navy and retired with honors as a Yeoman Senior Chief Petty Officer (Surface Warfare Specialist). He served onboard the USS Constellation(CV-64), USS Nimitz(CVN-68), USS Fearless(MSO-442) and the USS Exultant (MSO-441). While in the Navy he spent three years in the Persian Gulf where two of his collateral duties were Sonar Operator during mine hunting operations, and Quartermaster during normal steaming operations onboard a minesweeper. He was directly responsible for the classification and localization of live moored mines in the oil shipping lanes of the Persian Gulf. Additionally, he received four Navy Achievement Medals and two Navy Commendation Medals during his Naval career. After retiring from the Navy he was employed at the Dee Norton Lowcountry Children’s Center a Non Profit Child Advocacy Center in Charleston, SC as the Information Technology Coordinator and is currently employed as the Information Technology Specialist at the National Office of the Society of St Vincent de Paul in St. Louis, Mo. He currently lives in St. Charles, Mo with his wife Vickie.
